Covid-19 Updates

June 15th 2020 Announcement:

We have had to make the very difficult decision that we will be delaying SJW due to the ongoing pandemic. SJW was originally a spring event and we have decided to use this opportunity to move back to spring, rather postponing a full year.

The cabin has now been confirmed, and the new dates for SJW will be April 29-May 2nd 2021

We invite you to please join us in April. We will be rolling over all deposits and payments. If you cannot attend and need a refund please contact us. New payment deadlines will be announced on the site in the coming days and we will begin announcing classes as our presenters confirm availability for the new dates.

We hope to see everyone on the mountain next year

March 27th 2020 Announcement:

The production staff at Submissive Journey Weekend, like all of you, have been watching the news about the spread of the Covid-19 virus and resulting needs for social distancing.

At this time we have not made the decision to cancel or postpone this year’s event. This is not due to lack of concern or caution. We would, as everyone running any event, like to host the event this year. As we are still several months from the event we do not want to prematurely pull the plug. We believe taking these few extra weeks will allow us to have a better sense of the possible impacts of the pandemic. The SJW staff, while passionate, are also volunteers and we are all facing significant challenges at this time as well. We are committed to making a responsible decision and are discussing other options for how we can still stay connected with our SJW community in this time if an in person gathering is not possible this year. We thank you for your patience as we work through this unprecedented situation.

We will make a decision regarding the 2020 event no later than mid-July and anticipate having enough information to make a decision before July. In the event of cancellation we will offer full refunds or automatic registration rollover to the event in 2021. All presenters, team leads, and other support roles will be invited to rollover their contribution as well.

One note on a possible cancellation: originally, SJW was a spring event and there has been discussion about returning to the spring as the kink calendar is less full that time of year. We believe a Covid-19 cancellation might provide the opportunity to make that shift and welcome your thoughts and opinions.

As more information is available and decisions are made, we will update here and on our Fetlife and Facebook pages.
